This year's congress brought together architects, urban planners, and designers from around the region to discuss the future of architecture and sustainable urban development.

During the congress, Ignacio Mallol A. served as one of the keynote speakers. He discussed the significance of sustainable urban planning in Panama and the surrounding region, emphasizing how architecture can drive the development of better cities.

Ignacio also had the opportunity to participate in a panel where the A19 project was showcased. During this session, the designers and collaborators involved in this innovative real estate project explained their approach, highlighting how A19 exemplifies a new way of designing sustainable and planet-conscious developments.

As part of the congress, Marietta and Ximena Mallol discussed the crucial role of materials in their projects. They highlighted how materiality enhances design value and influences sustainable strategies for each project they undertake.

The last day of TRANSVERSAL, Ignacio Mallol Tamayo, our founder, was awarded for the most important distinction in Panama's architecture, the Leonardo Villanueva Meyer Award, a recognition from the College of Architects of Panama (COARQ) and the Panamanian Society of Engineers and Architects (SPIA) for his lifetime work.
