A powerful new addition has arrived at the Museo de la Libertad y los Derechos Humanos: the original wagon that once transported prisoners from various cities across Europe to the Birkenau concentration camp is now part of the new Pavilion of Tolerance.

Its installation required a precise and highly coordinated logistical effort. Part of the building’s roof was temporarily removed to allow the wagon to enter, after which specially installed rails facilitated its placement inside the pavilion.

The arrival of this artifact marks a significant step in shaping a space dedicated to preserving memory, fostering reflection, and promoting dialogue. Members of the Mallol team were present for this milestone, underscoring their commitment to bringing the pavilion’s vision to life.
