On July 18th, 2025, Mallol Design House became the stage for a remarkable evening that celebrated two milestones: the twenty-fifth anniversary of Architectural Digest Mexico & Latin America and the forty-fifth anniversary of Mallol Arquitectos.
The night began with words from Katia Contreras, Head of Editorial Content at AD, who reflected on the magazine’s journey as a community, an archive of dreams transformed into spaces, and a constant love letter to design. Her vision set the tone for an evening that looked back on shared histories while also projecting into the future of architecture and design in the region.
Our founder, Ignacio Mallol Tamayo, offered a deeply personal reflection on the meaning of legacy, speaking of the responsibility and inspiration that comes from passing a vision of architecture to the next generation. For him, the firm’s forty-five years are not only a record of achievements but also the foundation for a future that continues to challenge boundaries and expand possibilities.
The event unfolded as an immersive experience in design and culture, with Mallol Design House transformed into a living expression of creativity, sophistication, and architectural dialogue. Guests moved through spaces that carried the spirit of the firm’s work, experiencing firsthand the interplay between art, form, and the narratives that define Mallol’s approach to architecture.
The Night of a Legacy was ultimately a moment of celebration and gratitude, but also one of anticipation. It honored the history that has shaped Mallol Arquitectos while embracing the responsibility of building what comes next. More than an anniversary, it was a statement of purpose: to continue creating spaces that inspire, connect, and endure as part of a legacy in constant evolution.
