In a deeply personal and reflective lecture, Ignacio explored the role of the dreamer in architecture, emphasizing that every project begins with an illusion, and that to build is, ultimately, the privilege of inhabiting the lines once imagined. Through this lens, architecture becomes both a creative act and a human journey, where imagination transforms into space and emotion becomes structure.

The talk traced the story behind three homes he has dreamed, designed, and lived in throughout 45 years of practice: Le Cube, Almar, and El Arca, his latest project nestled in Volcán, Panama. Each home reflects different moments of his life, yet they all share a common thread: the pursuit of happiness and the joy found in family life.

"Architecture is not only about constructing spaces but also about giving shape to the invisible, to emotions, to time, to the essence of how we live."

The conference concluded with a meditation on change as both inevitable and necessary. Just as dreams evolve, so do our cities, our ideas, and those who inhabit them. For Ignacio, this transformation is not a challenge but a call to keep dreaming, building, and reimagining the role of architecture in shaping the world we share.
